This calming pale Botswana agate rests at the center of a delicate sterling silver setting. Subtle bands of color swirl within the stone giving it beautiful milky hues. The silver has been hammered along the edges to catch and reflect the light. The pendant has given a dark patina, then brushed away to contrast the bright sterling silver. The back of the pendant has a heart cutout to let the stone sit close to the skin. The back is also stamped with 925 and my maker's mark.

Gem lore ~ Botswana Agate believed to be a comfort stone, beneficial in overcoming depression. It encourages spiritual growth and inner stability. Botswana Agate is used for grounding and centering in the beginning of meditation rituals. It is also associated with the root chakra.
